Charcloth is a traditional fire-starting material that has been utilized for centuries. The charred cotton cloth can catch a single small spark from a flint, ferro rod, fire piston, or magnifying glass and turns into a slow-burning, extremely hot fuel that can ignite heavier tinder such as dry pine needles, birch bark, lint, cotton balls, toilet paper, fatwood, shaved magnesium, etc. Once the charcloth has an ember burning, the cloth can be placed inside, or wrapped with you tinder materials and then gently blown on to until it ignites. Our high quality BushKraft™ cloth starts out as heavy 15 ounce (#10), 100% cotton duck material and is then charred in mini rolls. Each package includes twenty 2" wide x 2" long* sections of charred cloth (80 square inches in total). The easy to use, pre-cut squares are just the right size to get a fire going with your flint & steel or ferro rod.
We stand by all of our products with a no-hassle guarantee; if you're not satisfied for any reason we'll make it right.
