Our emergency fire starter necklace features uses a small 5/16" diameter x 1-1/4" long "micro" ferro rod made from our special PyroStryke alloy that can produce a small showering of intense fire making sparks when struck with the ultralightweight ceramic striker. The striking edge of the ceramic is far superior standard steel strikers and will produce a much better spark shower with less effort. The neck lanyard features safety pop connectors and 40-inches of Black 425 paracord that could also come in handy for other uses in an emergency. Due to the small size, it's not intended or recommended as a primary fire-starting option, but its convenient, easy-to-carry features make it a great back up option when you're on the go.
